Authentication & Setup

brūhi Cloud provides a user-friendly setup wizard, biometric passkey authentication, license activation, and multi-user station access.

First-Run Setup Wizard

When you open brūhi Cloud for the first time in your web browser, the setup wizard guides you through initial system setup:

Step 1: Create Owner Account (Email & Password)
                 ↓
Step 2: License Key Activation
                 ↓
Step 3: Auto-provision Default Station
                 ↓
Step 4: Enter Broadcast Workspace Dashboard

1. Create Owner Account: Set up your primary administrator login (email address and password).
2. License Activation: Enter your brūhi Cloud license key to unlock multi-station creation, WebRTC broadcasting, and automated playout.
3. Default Station Initialization: The system automatically provisions Station 1 with default streaming output settings so you can start broadcasting right away.

WebAuthn Passkeys (Biometric Login)

brūhi Cloud supports passwordless logins using standard WebAuthn passkeys:

• Supported Authenticators: Apple Touch ID / Face ID, Windows Hello, Android Biometrics, and hardware security keys (YubiKey).
• How to Register: Navigate to User Profile → Security in the dashboard and click Add Passkey.
• Fast Sign-In: On subsequent visits, click Sign in with Passkey for instant 1-second login without typing passwords.

Domain Requirement

Passkeys require HTTPS and are bound to your configured domain name (BRUHI_RP_ID in .env). Ensure HTTPS is enabled when deploying in production.

Multi-User & Station Selection

For radio stations operating with multiple DJs, presenters, and station managers:

• Station Selection: Upon logging in, operators select their target station from a card grid showing real-time on-air status and listener counts.
• Session Locking: When a DJ clicks Take Control or Go Live, the station locks to their session to prevent accidental track stops or interferences from other users.
• Station Switching: Operators can switch between stations at any time from the top station selector dropdown in the dashboard.
